We're excited to offer more career pathways for our students in the Career Technical Education (CTE) program.
RRGSD partnered with HCC, Northeast NC Career Pathways, and Turning Point Workforce Development Board to create additional entrance and exit pathways from grades 6-12 and beyond.

Roanoke Rapids High School Student Orientation/Open House for grades 9-12 will be held Thursday, August 19th from 6:00 to 7:30. We will begin in the auditorium and then students and families are encouraged to tour the campus and meet their teachers.
Parent/Student Portal will open on Tuesday, August 17th so that students will be able to view their schedules. A printed copy of the schedule will be available when you pick up your chromebook.
Chromebooks will be given out on the following dates and times:
Tuesday, August 17th from 9:00 to 2:00
Wednesday, August 18th from 9:00 to 2:00
Thursday, August 19th from 5:30 to 7:30
A parent/guardian will need to sign for the chromebook.

Updated Immunization & Physicals Reminder: PreK, Kindergarten, and 7th Grade students are required to have updated immunizations prior to starting school on August 23, 2021. Additionally, rising Seniors are required to have the meningococcal (Menactra) vaccine. September 23, 2021 is the deadline or Sept. 11 for RR Early College to submit your child’s records to their respective school nurse. This state mandate is for students who will be returning to in-person learning and those attending the RRGSD Virtual Academy. Students will not be allowed to return without the proper documentation. Appointments may be made with the Halifax County Health Department or your child's pediatrician. A COVID vaccine is not required for attendance. Medical Physicals are required for PreK, Kindergarten, and those moving from out of state or new to public schools. #KidsAreOurCustomer #BackToSchool

Rising RRHS Seniors: This information is for parents of students who will be entering the 12th grade for school year 21-22. Your child will be required to have a booster (second) dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine if they have not already received one. An up-to-date immunization record indicating that your student has received the required immunization is due by the first day of attendance at school. If proof of immunization is not provided within 30 calendar days after school entry, your student will not be allowed to attend school until it is provided, as required by law. Please contact your health care provider or local health department if your child needs this vaccine.
