It's amazing what students can create out of scrap wood.
Look closely and you'll see a sturdy deer hunting stand, more than one type of car with wooden wheels that roll, a set of crutches, table and four chairs for dinner, an awesome desk with angled legs, and two sets of hockey sticks. This was part of a project to create something only using scrap wood in our Carpentry class. #KidsAreOurCustomers

Sports Update: Due to an NCHSAA rule dealing with football players missing 5 or more consecutive school days of practice and needing 3 practices to be able to play in a game, we will not be playing Vance County in football (JV or Varsity) this week. Vance County fits into this rule.
We will host Vance County for a Varsity Football game on Monday 9/24 at 7pm. The JV game is indefinitely postponed at this time.
Thanks for your support. Go Jackets!

RRHS Students: We recently surveyed you for home internet access. There may have been some confusion. To clarify, the district has access to a new grant program that will give you free internet at home using a hotspot. If you replied to the survey that you had reliable internet access, but are using your smartphone data, the hotspots will be made available to you so you don’t have to use phone data.
You’ll receive 3 gigabytes of data per month plus additional data at a slower speed...all at NO cost to you or your family. These hotspots will allow you to complete class assignments away from school using a district Chromebook. The hotspots will however have the same filtering capability that we have on campus. If you’re interested in one of these free hotspots to take home, please see your homeroom teacher for more information.
Our teachers got a lesson today in cultural backgrounds from some of our current and former English as a Second Language students. This year we have more than 140 ESL students from Guatemala, Mexico, Palestine, Yemen, Vietnam,
