Roanoke Rapids High School Junior Conner Johnson wanted to make sure his classmates who are in need don’t go without this holiday season. Johnson worked with local Food Lion stores to pick up the $5 food boxes that were donated by the store’s customers.
“I know some of my classmates go without especially on the weekends. I’m hoping these food boxes will help them and their familiesduring the holidays when we are out of school,” Johnson said.
More than 50 boxes of food will be distributed to the students and their families in need before the winter break.
