RRHS SkillsUSA traveled to Greensboro this week to attend the SkillsUSA NC State Leadership Conference & Competition for the very first time. 14 of our talented and dedicated students competed in various contests for leadership, workplace, and technical skills against over 2300 high school students from across North Carolina. Ryan Outland placed 5th place in Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Braxton Johnson placed 4th in the EMT contest, Karson Hasty placed 2nd in Customer Service, and Alex Clark & Madisyn Davis placed 1st in the Debate contest. As a chapter, Roanoke Rapids High School's team won the Quality Chapter Award and the Top Ten Percent award for growth.
