RRECHS will hold a Scholars-led Parent Night this Thursday, October 18, 6:00-7:30 at the Early College Armory. Please come join us as our Scholars will lead you through their classrooms and discuss with you their assignments and creations. Mrs. Lassiter, our counselor, will hold informational sessions - 6:30 and 7:00- in the HCC Classroom 105 about our students' HCC pathways. Also, our Science Fair projects will be on display in the RREC Gym Armory. We look forward to seeing you as we support our Scholars together!

RRGSD Alert: All after school activities including Place to Play are cancelled for Thursday October 11th. Staff will continue to monitor the storm tomorrow morning to determine if an early release will be needed as well as a decision for Friday. #KidsAreOurCustomers


Parents: Due to the impending inclement weather forecast for this Thursday, the RREC trip to Historic Halifax is being rescheduled for a day in November.

Reminders: Here are just a few upcoming reminders for Roanoke Rapids Early College High School.
1. Our October experiential learning trips will be Thursday, October 11, 2018, to Historic Halifax and Friday, October 26, to Halifax Community College for College and Career Day and a private tour of the courses and pathways that HCC has to offer.
2. Next Friday, October 12, 2018, will be a regular day of school (This was originally a teacher workday). This will be a makeup day for one of the days we missed due to the Hurricane.
3. Please join us on Thursday, October 18, 6:00-7:30, for our Scholars-led Parent night. Our Scholars will lead you through their classrooms and discuss their learning with you. Also, Mrs Angie Lassiter, guidance counselor, will hold an informational session with Q/A on the pathways for our Early College Scholars.

RR Early College students collected hurricane relief supplies this week and contributed the supplies to RRHS HOSA’s drive for the Wilmington area. #community


Parents: RRGSD Trustees adopted a tentative plan tonight to make up the two days missed last week due to Hurricane Florence.
Board members agreed to forgive one day and make up the other day on Oct 12th for Roanoke Rapids Early College High School and Oct 22nd for all other students. #KidsAreOurCustomers

Parents: As a part of the learning experience for Early College Scholars, students travel for experiential learning to colleges, museums, and local history sites. Students are to create a product for each experiential trip to share their learning. These assigned creations vary with each experiential trip.

August 31 - Medoc Mountain
September 7 - Chowan University
September 18 - Sylvan Heights
October 11 - Historic Halifax
October 26 - HCC College Day and tour of HCC career clusters
Ask your Scholars about these experiences and the creation designs that they have made. Also, come out on Thursday, September 13, 6:00-7:30, for our Scholar-Led Parent Conference night and see their work!
