RRGSD Superintendent Dr. Dain Butler presented 13 Roanoke Rapids High School Seniors and one RR Early College High School senior with a commemorative gift Wednesday afternoon in a special ceremony to honor them for earning scholar status for nine straight years, from 3rd - 12th grade.
“This is quite an accomplishment. It’s evident that all of you and your families made your education a priority. Remember, we are always here for you. Given what you have accomplished so far, there is no limit to what you can do beyond high school,” Butler told the audience.
The high school measure for earning scholar recognition is a cumulative “A” average for all subjects with no individual 9-week grade below a “C”.
