Winners of the Eastern Region of NC Stock Market Game were announced this week. Chaloner students Meredith Wilson and Hunt Qualls placed first. Braxton Golden and Jacob Thompson took second place.
The Chaloner Middle School AIG class started the Stock Market Game in January and by May these four students gained the most money buying and trading stocks. Each group started with $100,000 virtual money, researched five company's each and then bought the ones they thought would do the best. This game uses the actual stock market prices. "This is a great experience for these students and teaches real-world scenarios that they may encounter in the future," said teacher Melissa Thompson.
