We're excited to begin school tomorrow! Here are a few reminders: According to CDC guidance, masks are required for all staff and students on a school bus. Face masks are also required for all staff and students indoors except for mask breaks (during scheduled times, while eating or drinking, or while actively participating in strenuous exercise). Masks are not required outside. School supply lists, bus & bell schedules, and other back to school info is all located on our website. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow morning!
We're excited to offer more career pathways for our students in the Career Technical Education (CTE) program.
RRGSD partnered with HCC, Northeast NC Career Pathways, and Turning Point Workforce Development Board to create additional entrance and exit pathways from grades 6-12 and beyond.
Duna Long and Brandi Braggs presented a certificate this week to RRGSD's Tom Davis and Felicia Booker acknowledging full implementation of our Business Support Services as a NC certified career pathway for RRGSD. #CTE #KidsAreOurCustomers

Our hearts are heavy today after receiving news of the death of beloved RRHS teacher Heidi May. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Mrs. May was a dedicated teacher who worked tirelessly through her cancer treatments to serve her students. She was named RRHS Teacher of the Year in 2021. She will be greatly missed around campus and in this community. We also understand this news is very difficult for all of us to accept and that we will need to support each other during the grieving process.
Students, we want you to know that your teachers and administrators are here to help you in any way that we can and we will get through this difficult time together as Yellow Jackets do.
Our RRGSD administration held its annual leadership retreat today. Our theme this school year is: “Work hard, be kind, and never give up.” We’re ready for a great year! Who is ready to come back to school? #KidsAreOurCustomers
