Remote Learning Plan

RRGSD will launch its Remote Learning Plan on Monday, March 30th in response to the current COVID-19 school closure.

Since our high school and early college students have district-issued Chromebooks, their learning plan will be different than the Pre-K through 8th Grade plan.

High school parents: Please work with your students to ensure that each day they log into their Google Classrooms, interact with their teachers, and complete their work. Teachers will review all student submissions and provide feedback in Google Classroom.

For our Pre-K through 8th grade:  We’re offering both an online plan and packets for students who don’t have internet at home.  You can view the packets online using the Remote Learning Tab at the top of the RRGSD.org website.   You DO NOT have to print these at home.  We ask that your child complete the work just using any paper you may have on hand.

We will offer packet pick up on Monday, March 30th from 4 to 6 at Clara Hearne, Belmont, Manning, and Chaloner.  This is for those who indicated they needed a packet when our teachers called this week.

Additionally, we will continue our Grab & Go Lunch service next week from 10 to noon at both Belmont and Manning.  We’re happy to report that we’ve served over 10,000 breakfasts and lunches since we started.

This is an unprecedented time!  As a parent you are not expected to replace the teacher.  Just know we are here for you!   We just ask that your child check in and do the best they can.  We’re all going to exercise lots of patience and grace with each other as a school community.

We will get through all of this together!

We have produced two videos that will explain this in more detail.   Links below:
